The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for Audrain County, Missouri, seeks an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. The position is full-time. Applicants with experience preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Job duties include review, filing, discovery, negotiation and trial in criminal cases, pre-trial and post-conviction practice & motions, research & writing, search warrants and criminal dockets, and other duties as assigned. As the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, you’ll be a part of a busy office – the office files approximately 1000 criminal cases per year, not including traffic cases. At any time, there are several hundred active probation cases, diversion/deferral caseload, and child support cases.
