Program Summary:
Supports the operation of four regional Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) to provide training and technical assistance to multidisciplinary teams, CAC staff, and allied professionals. The goal is to improve the investigation and prosecution of child abuse and neglect, and enhance services for child victims and their families. Activities may include:
• Regional training and technical assistance delivery
• Support for judicial handling of child abuse cases
• Capacity-building for CACs and affiliated agencies
• Promotion of trauma-informed practices
Eligibility:
Local public and private nonprofit CAC agencies and organizations with at least 5 years of experience providing regional or national training and technical assistance related to child abuse investigations and judicial processes.
