Program Summary:
Supports prosecutors in the investigation and prosecution of violent cold case crimes where a suspect DNA profile has already been developed. Funding may be used for:
• Case review, investigation, and forensic analysis
• Activities that increase the likelihood of successful prosecution or resolution
• Enhancing public safety and justice for victims and families
• Strengthening prosecutorial capacity to address unresolved violent crimes

Eligibility:
State governments, city or township governments, county governments, special district governments, federally recognized tribal governments, and tribal organizations. Prosecuting entities must be fully engaged in the project either as lead applicants or through formal partnership.
