Program Summary:
Supports state and local efforts to enhance Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs) that collect, analyze, and share data on controlled substance prescriptions and scheduled chemical products. The program aims to improve clinical decision-making, detect and prevent diversion and abuse, and facilitate data integration with health systems. Activities may include:
• Enhancing PDMP data quality, accuracy, and usability
• Integrating PDMPs with health information exchanges (HIEs), electronic health records (EHRs), and pharmacy dispensing systems
• Supporting law enforcement, public health, and treatment provider collaboration
• Expanding PDMP access and use in tribal and rural communities
• Connecting to the RxCheck Hub for interstate data sharing
Eligibility:
Eligible applicants include:
• State governments
• Federally recognized tribal governments
• Tribal organizations (non-federally recognized)
Only one application per entity is allowed, and applicants must apply under a single category. Subrecipients may be included in multiple applications.
