In many animal cruelty cases, a veterinary pathologist is one of the most powerful resources available to prosecutors and investigators, and often one of the most underutilized. Dr. Jaime Weisman is a veterinary diagnostician at the Virginia Department of Forensic Science, where she has performed thousands of necropsies in animal cruelty and neglect cases.
