The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA), in partnership with the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office, will host the 2027 Prosecutorial Data & AI Summit on May 20–21, 2027, in Memphis, Tennessee. The Summit will bring together prosecutors, technologists, researchers, and criminal justice partners from across the country to explore how data and artificial intelligence can strengthen the work of prosecution offices. Sessions will focus on emerging AI applications, responsible AI governance, data-driven decision-making, technology implementation, and the opportunities and challenges these tools present for prosecutors. Immediately preceding the Summit, APA will host an AI Immersion Workshop on May 19, 2027, providing a smaller, hands-on learning experience designed to help prosecutors and prosecution staff build practical skills using AI tools, understand their capabilities and limitations, and explore how they can be implemented responsibly in day-to-day work. Together, the Workshop and Summit will provide participants with practical experience, actionable resources, and opportunities to learn from and collaborate with colleagues from across the country.
