The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) is pleased to invite you to the 15th (and final!) MacArthur Foundation Safety and Justice Challenge (SJC) Prosecutorial Leadership Institute, taking place on June 12-13, 2025, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, co-hosted by the Broward County State Attorney's Office.

As we reflect on the significant impact of the Safety and Justice Challenge, this Leadership Institute, “From Innovation to Institution: Sustaining Achievements”, will focus on embedding lasting change within prosecutorial offices and across the criminal justice system. This meeting will serve as a forum for peer-to-peer exchange, highlighting concrete strategies for institutionalizing reforms, overcoming challenges to sustainability, and ensuring that progress endures beyond the lifespan of the initiative.

The meeting will begin on Thursday, June 12 at 8:30 AM and will conclude on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM. The link to register and a draft agenda is forthcoming. APA has funding to cover travel expenses for one representative from each prosecutor's office participating in the SJC. Hotel information is forthcoming.

The APA will cover up to 2 hotel room nights for one representative from each prosecutor's office participating in the SJC. If your office is sending more than one representative, APA will book all hotel rooms and specify to the hotel that the additional attendee(s) will pay for their own room. The APA room block deadline is May 21, 2025.
