Ethical Challenges in Capital Cases: Engaging Communities
Thursday, May 29, 2025 (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Working effectively with various communities within the criminal justice system has become a goal for governing agencies throughout the country. However, there is often confusion about identifying these communities. Ethics serve as both rules and guides to help prosecutors strive for truth, fairness, and justice for the case while treating the victim with honesty, dignity, and respect. This presentation, specifically designed for prosecutors and prosecution teams handling capital and complex homicide cases, will provide information helpful in identifying the communities in which the victim has a personal history and the ethics that guide the acceptance of and interaction with the crime victim survivor.
This webinar is only open to prosecutors and prosecution teams, including investigators and advocates.
We look forward to having you attend the event!
