The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA), in partnership with the Joyce Foundation, invites you to the 2025 National Prosecutorial Summit on Combating Machine Gun Conversion Devices (MCDs) on Friday, June 27, in Chicago, IL.

This event will feature a live demonstration of MCDs and presentations and panel discussions on MCD lethality; model law enforcement and prosecutorial practices; cross-jurisdictional collaborations; legislative initiatives; innovative strategies to prevent 3D printing of MCDs; civil litigation and more.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with leading experts, practitioners and researchers, participate in insightful sessions and expand their professional networks.

This summit is co-hosted by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.  The June 27th working session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by 5:00 p.m.  A hosted welcome reception will take place on Thursday evening, June 26.

Sponsorship Opportunity for Travelling Attendees

The Joyce Foundation is funding scholarships to offset travel expenses to attend the Machine Gun Conversion Device Summit on June 27, 2025, in Chicago, IL.

Scholarships will be awarded to qualifying prosecutors, law enforcement and related disciplines to attend the conference. The award limits are $500 for recipients who fly and $300 for recipients who drive, reimbursed (with receipts) after the conference.

A link to apply for sponsorship will be available in your confirmation email post-registration. Deadline to apply is Friday, May 22, 2025. Applications will no longer be accepted after this date.
