Overview
Across the country, unlicensed individuals are performing surgical procedures on animals, including ear cropping, tail docking, cherry eye repair, and C-sections, with no veterinary training or oversight. Many of these same subjects are also breeding dogs and offering related reproductive services, coordinating largely through private social media groups where owners can request these procedures directly. Join Heather Krimm, Detective with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office Animal Cruelty Investigations unit, on October 1st at 3:00 PM ET for an overview of how this underground network operates and the legal issues at stake when unlicensed individuals perform medical procedures on animals.
