The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) through its Domestic Violence (DV) Prosecution Committee will host the 7th National APA Domestic Violence Prosecution Conference on April 22-24, 2026, in Salt Lake City, UT, in partnership with the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office.
This conference will provide attendees with enhanced and practical strategies for investigating and prosecuting DV-related crimes. Over the course of two and a half days, attendees will learn from expert practitioners on topics such as Brain Injury Caused by IPV, Recantation, Identifying Human Trafficking through Domestic Violence Cases, Voir Dire/Jury Selection, Navigating Difficult Conversations with Victims, Effective use of AI in your Case, and more. Through plenary presentations, breakout sessions, group discussions, and resource-sharing opportunities, this conference will strengthen foundational skills while also highlighting innovative strategies among working DV prosecutors, managers, and victim advocates.This conference is intended for prosecutors, investigators, and victim advocates involved in the prosecution of DV-related crimes. Due to space restrictions, those not meeting these criteria will be contacted by APA and issued a full refund.
